A VERY Rare find, especially in this Color....
A one of a kind artisan designed piece, a French Red Enamel antique C1890 Art Nouveau Souvenir Photo Locket Book from Paris.
The book holds 7 related photos to the Life of Jesus.
They include the Annunciation, Birth of Jesus, Baby Jesus in the Cradle, an Angel above, The Adoration of the Magi, The Flight to Egypt and lastly what looks like St Peter.
The front cover has "IHS" with a Cross and the Back a Cross
in a raised pattern on bronze.
The pendant is suspended on a 3 Way medal from a Rosary in the shape of a Fleur de Lis on double bead capped Pearls completed with link chain.
Necklace measures 18.25" Long; book is 1" tall by .75" Wide.
