Antique Italian CHERUB Angel MATCH SAFE Boats BIRDS Musical-angsf

From our Italian Collection....   A  C1890 Italian Antique Brass Match Safe with a Cherubim theme, or as they say in Italian Putti.    A rare and amazing piece, they are playing musical instruments, floating in what looks like Gondolas and there are Birds and serpent tailed figures in the background. The raised detail is amazing. There are even Heads in the water.   There are two separate compartments. (See photo) The entire outer edge is highly detailed with a stunning border, also raised.   This could be used to maintain any small object in style, cotton balls, bobby pins, or wahtever you wish to store in Style!!!   Safe measures 3.75" W by 5.5" tall.   Lynn Konrad
