From our Baby Rattle Collection......
This is one we have yet to encounter....
A delightful mixture of an Antique Sterling Silver Hansel and Gretel with the Witch Baby Rattle... suspended on a grand 999 Sterling Silver overlay chain with a single teardrop Aurora Borealis Crystal for a bit of bling.
The detail is amazing, you can see the flowers in the window, the Cat and the blades of Grass at their feet. The raised motif design is the same on Both sides.
The sound of the rattle is delightful to the ears!
A fun and unique piece! A Great Mother or Grandmother GIFT!!
Rattle is hallmarked on the bottom, but we cannot make it out.
Measurements~ Chain is a generous 36", Rattle is approx. 1 5/8" by 2" , not counting loop at top.

fairy tale of
German origin, recorded by the
Brothers Grimm and published in 1812. Hansel and Gretel are a young brother and sister threatened by a
cannibalistic
witch living deep in the forest in a house constructed of cake and
confectionery. The two children save their lives by outwitting her.
