These January, 1904 Antique French Postcards are a series of nine that are related, we shall be listing more Joan of Arc postcards, so please check back often!

They were all mailed in January of 1904, as the postmarks show.  

We are pleased to note the subject matter. They feature a very "Young" representation of Joan of Arc in various important moments in her life, such as...hearing voices, in Orleans, praying for Charles VII, Sacre Charles VII a Reims, and being burned at the stake in Rouen.

They are all a sepia color and overall the condition is very good, please see our photos. All measure 3.5 x 5.5".  

Joan of Arc was born January 6th, 1412 and was only 19 years old when she was burned at the stake in 1431. She was lead by Angel voices and brought forth her first army at the young age of 16. In her first letter to the English in March 22, 1429 she wrote, “I am sent here by God the King of Heaven.” She was canonized as a Saint on May 16th, 1920.
