This French C1890 Ivory, Bakelite and Silver Plate Cross from Paris, has an elegance in presentation.

The backing appears to be Tortoiseshell Bakelite or similar and top layer is the same substance in an ivory color. The ornately carved Jesus Christ figure is silver plate.

It has an outstanding patina from age.
 
Measures 7.5" tall by 5" wide.
