From the Duchess Collection….   An opulent petite Chatelaine Mother of Pearl Lorgnette, or folding pair of magnifying Glasses, a design so typical of the French in this period.   We date the piece between the Victorian and Art Deco period, C1890-1910.   This dainty pair of glasses is elegantly hung on complimentary French Mother of Pearl Beads from the same era.    The clasp works well.   A one of a kind treasure… Necklace measures 25”  long and the glasses are 3" Long when folded up and approx. 4" wide when opened.   Enjoy!   FRENCHatHEART Lynn Konrad
