Antique C1900 ENGLISH Metal Jewel Cask BOX Jewelry w SILK Lining HANCOCK-cpbx

We adore these pieces.... wonderful to house your baubles in style...   They are getting harder and harder to find in Europe each year.    This box dates to C1900-1910 and has a copper painted exterier with Catrouches, florals, Bows, Ribbons and about everything else beautiful in French design.   The inside is lined in a Pastel Pink Silk fabric with delicate trim.   The piece has "HANCOCK" on the lid and is either the family name or a city. We hazard a guess it is of English origin.   Measures almost 4" tall at its zenith with a 2.75" by 4.5" base. Some copper wear.   The bottom has a raised diamond floral motif.
