Antique Style Silver Large VICTORY ANGEL WWI Medal Paul Dubois Pendant Freshwater Pearl NECKLACE-n-vict

A stunning remake of a classic pearl necklace!
 
Featured on a single long strand of Freshwater Pearls  with Silver wire wrapping and clasp, upon which is draped a Sterling silverplated antique reproduction Victory angel from WWI medal created by the famous Paul Dubois. The piece was cast form the original French piece over a century old, this lovely reproduction is hand crafted.
 
 A piece with wonderful movement to catch the light and make you sparkle!
 
Can be worn with jeans and a white "T" , or with a business suit to an important meeting.
 
Pearl strand is 32"L, the medal is 1 3/8" in diameter.  
 

 

Paul-Maurice Dubois (born in Aywaille/Belgium, 1859-1938) entered the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Brussels in 1879 and studied under Jacquet and Simonis. In 1882 he started to work in Van der Stappen's studio. In 1884 he was awarded the first prize in the Concours Godecharle and received a travel grant which allowed Dubois to visit the most important museums in Europe. He exhibited at the Salons of "Les XX" from 1884 to 1893 and at the Salons of "La libre esthetique" from 1894. Dubois was selected for the position as professor at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Brussels in 1902. He created bas-reliefs, numerous monuments and ornamental sculptures.
