This RARE French Jeanne D’Arc (Joan of ARC) pin hails from Paris, France and we are told dates to C1890-1900.
It is Sterling silver.
This is a rare piece, as we have not seen such a highly detailed representation to date.
It is raised on the silver and in person the detail is much more impressive!!
She is portrayed with long flowing locks standing in her armor with her sword nested within a Laurel leaf branch and there is a Fleur de Lis on her breast.
B. Jeanne D'Arc 1412-1431.
The piece is signed "OBC".
The back has a two stars.
We rate this as one of our finest Joan of Arc pins and worthy of the most impressive collection!
There is a wonderful patina, which we did not try to alter in any way.
Measures approx. .75" wide.
The Pin/Clasp functions well.
