This is one of several French Lace baby garments we have brought back from our most recent sojourn to PARIS!! This Angelic C1850-80 French BABY Jacket is a delight for the eyes. We were so taken with the soutache trim and six antique shell button accents. The split peplum in the back is no less enchanting! The Fabric is White Pique with the associated Fine Ribbing. We are pleased to note the entire piece is accented with a beautifully HAND Embroidered SCALLOPED Cutwork LACE Trim. In fact, the entire piece is HAND wrought. The closure is completed with Three fabric-covered buttons under the placket. We see the Red embroidered French laundry mark for identification purposes. (See photo) Condition is EXCELLENT-Very Good antique; ready to adorn that special toddler, doll or bear!!!
