This is a once in a lifetime piece for the serious collector of Religious textiles. We were so excited to be able to procure this piece in our recent expedition to France.

The damask has an Urn pattern, which is repeated in the Gold metallic Embroidery on the piece.

The colors of the flowers are still bold, bright and beautiful after two centuries in shades of Royal Purple and Reds.

The floral embroidery is actually done on a separate piece of fabric and then stitched onto the damask. The long Gold metallic tassels or Fringe are luscious!

The piece is lined and the top edge is currently open.

We were told this piece originally hung near the church altar on a wooden pole as a banner. Would be outstanding hung on a wall of your home for that old world flavor or France!!!
