This French C1800 Holy Water Font from Paris, France is like none other we have found in years of traveling to France on buying ventures! The bulk of the piece is in carved wood with a porcelain Shell holy water font receptacle. There are not one but TWO Carved Bone/Stone figures, one of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Christ and the other of the Immaculate Heart of Mary. The Sculptures have an age and elegance equal to its years. They have an outstanding patina from age. We believe it to have been in a church and there may have been relic inside at one time.
