Antique FRENCH Art Nouveau STERLING Silver CARNET de BAL Aide MEMOIRE NOTEBOOK Charm Ivory Sheets KEY-n-smcdb

From our Carnet de Bal Collection.....   I simply adore these petite Art Nouveau books and this one is very rare as it is the smallest one I have come across in 10 years of traveling to France!!   It is Sterling Silver with a repousse border on the front.   There are 6 sheets of French Ivory to write on and they are also delightfully Scalloped on their edge.  Several pages have the original writing, the first page states July 8, 1899 and the following pages have some family names written with the surnane being REED.   I suspended the little gem on a double rollo Sterling Silver plated chain and added a Sterling Silver Skeleton Key and Swaovski Crystal.      Chain measures 28" Long; book is 1 " Wide by 1 3/8" tall.  Marked STERLING on the reverse.    Please note the pages do not lie absolutely flat, I think that makes the charm that much more endearing and loved.   Lynn Konrad
