From the Duchess Collection….    An opulent petite Chatelaine Sterling Silver Lorgnette, or folding pair of magnifying Glasses, a design so typical of the French in this period. The glasses are incised with a delghtful design.   We date the piece between the Victorian and Art Deco period, C1890-1920.   This spring loaded pair of glasses is elegantly hung on complimentary French Antique Clear Faceted Crystal Beads, some with filigree Bead caps from the same era.    The clasp works well.   A one of a kind treasure… Necklace measures 30”  long and the glasses are 3" Long when folded up and approx. 4" wide when opened.   Enjoy!  Lynn Konrad
